Q: How do your lights mount?

A: The mounting capabilities vary based on the specific LED light fixture you are interested in. All mounting information can be found on the product page.

Q: Does the fixture come with a bulb?

A: All products come with LED's already installed and ready to go!

Q: What is PAR?

A: PAR stands for Photosynthetically Active Radiation and is the type of light that a plant uses. It is different from Lumens because it has a greater emphasis on the red and blue spectrums.

Q: What is PPF?

A: PPF stands for Photosynthetic Photon Flux and is the amount of energy emitted from the light that a plant can use.

Q: What is PPFD?

A: PPFD stands for Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density and it is how bright the light looks to a plant, it is measured at the tallest point on the plant.

Q: Can I mount my grow light at any height?

A: Yes, in order to have a successful grow, you'll want to mount it according to the appropriate PAR measurement required for what you will be growing. If the light is too far away, the plant will start to "reach" and get too tall. This makes for an unhealthy plant.

Q: I’m getting a high PAR measurement directly under my plants, but a lower measurement as I move away toward the edge of the light and the grow area. Is it possible to get an even light distribution across all my plants?

A: Yes; it is possible to get an even light distribution across your grow. In order to achieve this, you'll need to purchase the appropriate number of lights for you grow setup.

Q: Should I be concerned about the wattage of the LED? 1w, 2w, 3w, 5w?

A: You should not be concerned about the wattage of the diode as much as the PPF or PPFD of the light. We use a 3W LED to obtain a higher efficacy, emit less heat, and produce a more durable, longer lasting light.

Q: What’s the light spread of your lights? How do I best choose a light based on this?

A: The light spread from our lights is at a 120 Degree beam angle. As you get further from the center, the lower your PAR measurement. As a result, multiple lights and positioning is key.

Q: Is there IR light emitted?

A: There's very little IR emitted at 730nm.

Q: Is UV light emitted?

A: There's very little UV emitted at 400nm.

Q: Do you sell purple lights?

A: They work, but we offer a full spectrum that benefits a plant for all stages. Also, plants benefit from multiple spectrums, not only a binary spectrum.

Q: Can I put the light close and grow successfully?

A: Yes! While having your plants touch the lights is not good, your plants will not suffer from as much "light burn" compared to other grow lights.

Q: What should I look for when comparing grow lights?

A: The Spectrum and the PPF is what’s important when considering your options.

Q: How hot do your lights get?

A: 40-50 degrees C on the outside = 104 to 120 F

Q: Should I use an air circulator?

A: Yes, and there is no air conditioning needed when growing with LEDfullspectrum grow lights.

Q: What’s the light spread with the Linear Grow Light?

A: Please check the website, coverage is listed for each light!

Q: What’s the light spread for the XL Warehouse Growlight?

A: Please check the website, coverage is listed for each light!

Q: Why should I go with you guys?

A: We are the manufacturer, we can engineer to be better than any other light out there. We have the ability to quickly engineer, manufacture, and test our lights. We can build to any specification you would like.

Q: What's the amperage for the XL Growlight?

A: On 120V = 6.9amps

Q: I am needing a lamp that will emit a large amount of UV rays. Do you have something like this?

A: Yes! We have the capabilities to provide UV spectrum LEDs. It will be a custom engineered light so we'll require project details.

Q: Why don't you have a switchable blue and red spectrum only lamp?

A: We actually do! The Tuneable Grow light. If you require ONLY red and blue, we can customize the tuneable grow light to your needs.

Q: What height should I mount my grow light?

A: The mounting height varies based on what you're growing, but we typically recommend between 4" and 18" above your plants.

Q: What's the BTU value for the XL Warehouse Growlight?

A: 1361.44 BTU

Q: How do you calculate amperage?

A: A lights wattage/voltage = amperage

Q: What is the amperage at the plug? (factoring in inefficiencies)

A: Our inefficiency factor is 2%.
